Christmas 2023 at Ever Thine Home
A quick little note from me to you.
I'm finishing up my last paper for my seminary class (Theological Method and Bibloilogy which sounds terribly boring but I promise it's not) this week and will hit send with a loud hallelujah that I'm finally finished. I'm kind of in that middle space where I've had thoughts of quitting but I've also realized I'm half way finished and in another semester or two the finish line will be in sight.
Christmas is less than a week away and I feel breathless as the days are flying by. I ran into Hobby Lobby today after my dental appointment to see if I could find a table runner on sale and was amazed at the jammed parking lot and the lines of women with baskets full to the brim. The buying power in our nation is remarkable.
Because 2023 is waning fast, I wanted to ask you to consider a year end donation to my ministry to women just like you. Bagging bargains is fun but investing in our most important relationships is far more enduring.
I know you probably get lots of emails, and I do too, saying in so many words we can't go on without your gift. But for our very small little ministry, Ever Thine Home, we really can't. We need to make some changes and we want to explore new ways to reach women like you, by finding a way to use text to communicate. We truly can't grow and become more effective without your year end gift.
Dennis and I are amazed at the energy God continues to give us which is a clear indication He is not done using us for His Kingdom work. I am committed to getting back to work on my book, Disappointed with God and also writing another week of Eastertide devotions for you this Easter; work that I'll focus on in January.
Plus, Dennis and I just recorded a second series of conversations on the topic of growing older but not old. These will be available in January. I think you will like them no matter what your age!
I need strong year end giving so I can keep my five part-time team members and potentially add a couple more who can help part-time.
I'd love to hear from you and I hope you've had a minute to read all of this.
I'm praying for you what I'm praying for myself: that I will have eyes to see all the ways God is at work in my life and all around me.
May you see Him too. He is near. Always.
Thanks to some generous donors who wanted to help make your giving dollar go farther this holiday season, every $1 we raise for Ever Thine Home from today until December 31 will be matched up to $50,000!!!
Also, if you give a gift of $50 or more to Ever Thine Home I'll send you a signed print of my Winter Pastures oil painting in the next few weeks.
Winter Pastures, which I painted in 2012, is printed on a beautiful linen card stock. Each one is signed by me and would look lovely in your home or as a gift for a friend.
Thank you for being a part of Ever Thine Home! I am grateful for you and pray that this holiday season is one of greater worship for the Gift of Jesus our Savior.
Ever His,
