Easter Sunday was only one week ago. For most of us, our lives are so full it seems much longer. Which perfectly illustrates our dilemma.
I admit it is difficult to hold on to the joy, marvel, and wonder of Easter as we live in this activity-packed, pain-filled world. Only a few are called to live as monks, removed from it all.
So how can the rest of us ordinaries keep the moments of clarity we sensed on Resurrection Day with us the rest of the year?
As we started this week with remembering we also end with that discipline. We must not forget but remember what happened during Holy Week … not the facts but the experience, the reality of all that happened, lest we forget the cost of our salvation.
The most oft-repeated complaint by God against His people in the Old Testament is that they forgot their God. Does He still say that about us today?
