Day 2: Female Witnesses

Naming women as witnesses was unheard of for most of human history, but God valued His female disciples as much as the men and here we see Him rewarding their faith! How do we know God valued them as much as the men? Because the phrase “God shows no partiality” is repeated nine times in the New Testament alone. By listing the women God helped us see what He sees—hearts of faith that pleased Him.

Let’s look at our hearts and see if our faith is anything like these women. To do that, think about these questions and facts as you read and be truly honest.

Do you wish you saw evidence of God working more often?

Do you hear others tell stories about God’s hand at work and feel left out, or even jealous?
