Day Four: “Go, and I will be with you always”
Over cold ice-covered sidewalks in Moscow they walked, into a 50-passenger bus they climbed, out of the bus they stepped into mounds of bright glittering January snow. Into orphanages packed with children walked two brown leather boots which then bent to better meet the eyes of orphan children.
Schools with rows of perfectly behaved silent children never saw the unpretentious boots standing in the room listening to American children and teens share about Jesus. But with their thick-treaded soles my boots went with me everywhere and faithfully kept me mostly warm and steady on ice as they carried me all over central Russia for almost three weeks.
