Mother’s Day is just around the corner!
End-of-school-year activities keep all of us busy, even Mimi’s like me with two out-of-state graduations and a baby dedication in May. But I wanted to let you know about a few unique items in our Etsy shop especially for Mother’s Day.
Meaningful or biblically-focused Mother’s Day cards (aka not sappy) have always been hard for me to find, so a couple of years ago my team and I created this card. The cover image is a painting by Lilias Trotter who was a missionary in the early 1900s. Her art is amazing!
There are two card options: with a message inside or blank.
A second Mother’s Day card reads "The mother's heart is the child's school-room" a quote by Henry Ward Beecher. This card is blank inside.
New this year is a print with a statement I make all the time to young moms: "You will never be a perfect mother. God is the perfect parent and He still has trouble with His children!" Might this be a sweet little gift for the exhausted mom of always sick toddlers or a mom of teens who wonders if she and her kids will survive to adulthood?
We also have a small number of copies of the book A Mother’s Legacy that I wrote with my daughter Ashley a number of years ago. This book is a collection of short stories written by 25 friends of mine (including me and my daughter Ashley) and their daughters telling the lessons learned from their moms. The book has photos of all the moms and daughters. It’s a timeless book celebrating the power of mothers. Another great gift idea.
One last always-welcomed gift for moms is a set of blank notecards printed with one of my favorite watercolor paintings of three pears that I painted years ago. Letter writing may be a lost art, but don’t you love finding a handwritten note in your mailbox? Each set contains 8 cards and envelopes.
And we still have a VERY limited number of our best-selling framed Isaiah 33:6 verse which says, “And He shall be the stability of your times.” I found a box of about 25 in our storage unit. When they are gone, sadly they will be gone for good because we can’t afford to produce them anymore.
As spring melts into early summer may you fix your hope completely on Him, the author and perfecter of our faith. May you also remember the days are long but the years are short.
Ever His,
Barbara
