In John 11 we find a story about Jesus full of hard-to-understand details. His friends Mary and Martha sent a message to Him, saying, “Lord, he whom you love is ill” (John 11:3). But though Jesus loved their brother Lazarus, “He stayed two days longer in the place where He was.” Why didn’t Jesus go? And immediately?
