In the middle of the book of Job and in the middle of the book The Gospel According to Job by Mike Mason is the verse, “I know that my Redeemer lives” (Job 19:25). This statement by Job comes in a pivotal moment in his life; after he had suffered for 19 long chapters. With no end yet in sight for relief from his suffering, Job longed for a redeemer—a go’el—who would restore his health and his well-being.
