It was an exceptionally beautiful spring day in May when Jim, Carrie and I descended on the farm where my mother was born and grew up for our photo shoot. The fields were full of wild flowers, aka weeds in bloom, but beautiful nonetheless. We’d borrowed an old pickup truck from a friend and my grandsons to help us capture in photographs the feelings of family connections, timelessness and the enduring power of home.
