For years I avoided reading the book of Job because I was afraid I would contract some of his suffering. I knew enough about his story to have zero envy of the wealth and success he enjoyed before and after his period of suffering. Then I spent a week focusing on Job for my Bible study class during my children’s teen years.
I love everything about this. I’ve read Job so many times and never noticed that tiny tucked away treasure of him praying for their hearts over their successes. Beautiful! I also love how you point out the need to protect their privacy as they share. So crucial!!
I’m sending part of this to some of my daughters that have grown children because it is such an encouragement. I’m also wondering if I could purchase and send the 2 devotionals individually to a couple of them?

This is such wise advice, Barbara. I am still adapting as a parent of young adults out on their own.
Such excellent teaching again today.
