As you’ve been decorating and preparing for Thanksgiving, perhaps for several weeks, have you also been playing Thanksgiving music? No? Why not? Several reasons come to mind, including the obvious one: Christmas decorating and celebrating has pre-empted Thanksgiving almost entirely. Christmas music began playing in many stores in early November. Some radio stations begin playing Christmas music non-stop even before Thanksgiving.
That is one of my all time favorite CDs! I had never heard most of those hymns when I first listened, but now they’re like comforting friends. That and the Thanksgiving book really strengthened my young family’s faith back then. I use it in Sunday School all these years later. 💗
Barbara, I still have the CD from years ago and play it every Thanksgiving, non-stop. We also used your Thanksgiving Treasure Box for years. Sweet memories
Thanksgiving must not be overlooked by Christmas. Gratitude the perfect antidote to the consumerism that has sadly taken over our cultural celebration of Christmas. The more intentionality we can bring to thanksgiving, the Better.
