We’ve created a six-part devotional book called “Messiah Mystery.” Six lessons, beginning on Ash Wednesday, will lead you and your family through Scripture, hot on the trail to discovering the true meaning of Lent and unearth the joy of Easter’s miraculous resurrection.
So good to hear your voices! So wonderful to hear of all the books and resources created by Barbara! l am ordering one for our church Sunday School in our new church plant here in the Habersham neighborhood in Beaufort, South Carolina, The Parish Church at Habersham, the daughter church of St. Helena established in 1711.
Barbara, Ed and l are the couple who lived across the hall from you two in Married Student Housing that summer at Purdue when y’all were there for training for a special program. l never see a film clip or read a reference to Nixon’s last day at the White House without recalling Dennis coming to our apartment door and asking if he could come in and see history in the making on our TV since you didn’t have one for just those three months at Purdue. There were the three of us, Dennis lying on his side on the floor since Purdue provided only two Danish modern chairs, seeing Richard Nixon and Pat leave the public stage in the military helicopter.
On another note, a friend here in Habersham spoke so fondly of you when l first met her—Jane Daniel’s. We were exchanging ideas for small group studies and women’s retreats and l mentioned your work and she said she knew you. Small world!
