At the recommendation of a young friend that I'm mentoring, I decided that I needed to check out what she loved. I am currently on a 7 day free trial. I really enjoyed Growing Older But Not Becoming Old after listening to just the 1st broadcast. My husband and I are retired and it brings us much joy and encouragement to see how God continues to grow Dennis and Barbara!

I really found the writing on being a mother in law helpful. I became a mother in law this year and adding another daughter in law in a few months. I passed this one on to a friend as well. We both found it helpful in remembering to be patient in the formation and deepening of those relationships.

I loved the “Growing Older…” podcasts as well. Turning 60 this year, the title described my goal!

I loved Growing Older Without Growing Old!

The title even ministered to me! But when Dennis snd Barbara encouraged us to keep dreaming together I had to share it with my husband. We both listened to it and had a great conversation after. This podcast should be required listening foe anyone bemoaning the aging process! There is so much to still look forward to!!

My favorite so far is the podcast series, "Growing Older Without Growing Old." My husband just retired and so we appreciate Dennis & Barbara's wisdom as we enter this stage of life. "Cultivating Hope" Bible study is a close second and the material is much needed for women in the church today. I also really appreciate Samuel Rainey's articles on Marriage. They have encouraged me on many fronts.

I love the posts about being Easter People. Thinking about all Christ did for us in such a different way has changed my heart and the way I approach discipleship with my 3 young boys.

I love Barbara's posts about Thanksgiving and Easter! Her thoughts have encouraged me to be more intentional about how my family celebrates both of these holidays. In particular, I have been encouraged not to rush through Thanksgiving to get to Christmas, and I have used her printables from Ever Thine Home with my extended family- we use her thankful lists each year and save them and reread! For Easter, Barbara's posts have encouraged me to observe Lent with my family and count down to Easter the way we do to Christmas. Thank you, Barbara!

I enjoyed the article "How do you know it is the Holy Spirit?" It was helpful to see the 5 ways connected to Scripture.

I am a brand new subscriber! After hearing Barbara on Family Life today and hearing she blogs I wonder if she would have her writings on Substack?! I started Substack with subscribing to Gary Thomas and now I am excited to add Barbara! I so need her insight as I age and change seasons in my life I don’t feel as encouraged in the “growing older” stage of life maybe I can be encouraged to see how the grace she often shares.
